Zines & Artist’s Books

“I had the pleasure of assisting students during a work session on their projects and providing helpful feedback along the way to help them succeed.”

I developed, organized, and led a project focused on creating Zines and Artist’s books. I then created a comprehensive zine on the history and various types of zines and artist’s books, designed to enable students to identify and learn about these formats while demonstrating different techniques for introducing the project. In addition, the students and I visited the Garcia Center for the Arts Library to explore diverse zines, handmade books, and self-published works within a community space. I had the pleasure of assisting students during a work session on their projects and providing helpful feedback along the way to help them succeed. We finished the project with an informal in-person critique and a completed student reflection sheet.
