Cyanotype

Notre Dame High School, 2021

“The most rewarding experience that came out of this project was inspiring my students as we created cyanotype prints together in the school garden.”

In the Fall of 2021, I introduced a lesson plan called the Cyanotype Method in an advanced art course at Notre Dame High School. I designed an instructional handout and created a lesson plan for this project that included an objective, materials, techniques, and examples for students to follow. Additionally, this project fulfilled a cross-curricular requirement and was a collaborative effort with the photography class at Notre Dame High School. The project was introduced on a school-managed iPad, allowing students to follow along both as a group and individually. The most rewarding experience that came out of this project was inspiring my students as we created cyanotype prints together in the school garden.
